  • Dissociative symptoms that may include feeling detached, numbness, or emotionally unresponsive. When you experienced reduced awareness or depersonalization (a feeling when you are emotionally or mentally not attached to yourself), these are the signs of this symptom. Dissociative amnesia is quite common to you. This is the condition when you can’t remember what happened to you in relation to that traumatic experience.
  • Avoidance. When you try as much to avoid places, objects, people, activities, or conversations that will cause you to reexperience or remember the event.
  • Reexpereince the event. You have recurring thoughts, images, flashbacks, or nightmares. You feel that you relieve the event or you feel distressed when something reminds you of the event
  • Anxiety. The symptoms may include insomnia, irritability, difficulty in focus or concentration, constantly feeling on guard or tense, easily startled, or not able to sit still – you are constantly moving around.
  • Distress. It may affect you on professional or social setting. It may disrupt you from getting back to a normal life or activities.
